Yes, this article is in one of the Deity\u2019s favoured languages, Portuguese. Wait, strike that! the Deity actually loves all languages equally.\u00a0Or if the story in the Book of Genesis is to believed, she hates them all equally.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0the first page of my own article there is a summary in English, a language you readers manifestly love, especially if English is your mother tongue and exerts the full powers maternal love entails.<\/i><\/p>\n

There are a few occasional readers of this site whose mother tongue is not English, which doesn’t mean they don’t love it too. In fact, it might be argued they love it more than we who have been born into it, since they\u00a0adopted<\/em>\u00a0it. Adoption, now that is true love.<\/p>\n

There are many references to Ces\u00e1ria and to Cape Verdean Crioulo in my book\u00a0Entwisted Tongues: Comparative Creole Literature<\/i>s<\/b><\/a>, still available at what some might think is an extortionist price, even when sold second hand. But then it is only #8,848,231 in the Amazon sales list, so not to worry too much about that aspect of things. I am slowly building\u00a0a site of the same name<\/a>\u00a0to extract nuggets of poetry from that academic treatise, alchemy of a sort.<\/p>\n
