by night multitudes<\/p>\n

of star, by day you feel warm<\/p>\n

light from one of them<\/p>\n

gullies down basalt<\/p>\n

smeared on the gritty pavement<\/p>\n

red guts of a dog<\/p>\n

in the cracked mirror<\/p>\n

five faces seven bottles<\/p>\n

George Lang was born and raised in Houston, left as soon as he was able. After a stint in West Africs he ended up in Canada, where he had an academic career as a comparatist.
