Partial eclipse this afternoon,

I cannot say to what ends

\nthe death of my friends\u2019 fathers,
\nthose, unknown, of Father\u2019s friends.<\/p>\n
Things I once thought don\u2019t
\nmake a whit of difference
\nanymore, a jot of sense.
\nNot by wit I live, but wont.<\/p>\n
Now night has come so close
\nalone in bed at last
\nthe only sound, my breath apart:
\nfoghorns, remote, morose.<\/p>\n
