You make me focus. I\u2019ve never been flung afar
\nso finely, racked back to touches so sudden.<\/p>\n

Close to fear at the depth of veins you make me
\nmine from within, our eery succession of selves,<\/p>\n

our free-fall toward orbit, I revolve around your
\nopening iris, eclipsing light flickering above us.<\/p>\n

Closed from fear like a match whose flare is cupped
\nfrom the wind in the hands of our uncanny holding,<\/p>\n

we make the walls flutter with our whispers
\nand whimpers. Together, we come zooming in.<\/p>\n

Goes back to a cinematic passion I lived in Montreal in 1975. <\/span><\/em>A rack shot<\/a><\/span>\u00a0is a continuous take during which the focal point is changed to reveal new detail.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Oddly enough, this poem engendered a recent one in German with the arch title <\/span>Ph\u00e4nomenologie der Liebe \/ Phenomenology of Love<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Ein Z\u00fcndholz,
\n<\/span>dessen Flamme
\n<\/span>gesch\u00fctzt vor Sorge
\n<\/span>in den hohlgemachten
\n<\/span>H\u00e4nden unserer
\n<\/span>unheimlichen
\n<\/span>Umarmung,
\n<\/span>machen wir
\n<\/span>die Mauern
\n<\/span>mit unserem Gefl\u00fcster
